Welcome to the Fumbly Workshop

Fumbly Workshop is the woodworking blog of John M. Wargo. For the last 25 years, I built my woodworking skills and built out my workshop; I created this site to allow me to share what I've learned.

Learnings, insights, rants, & more.

Articles

This is the blog portion of the site; here I share something I learned like when I create an interesting jig, learn a new skill, or make something cool that I think may interest readers. My primary goal is to share tips and tricks I've learned along the way to, hopefully, accelerate your growth as a woodworker or at least help you get past a particular problem.

Step-by-step guides and tutorials.

Tutorials

Periodically, I'll make something in or for my workshop that I think others will be interested in. I'll publish a tutorial here so you have the information you need to make it yourself.

My take on commercial products.

Product Reviews

I have a lot of tools in my shop, both handheld and power tools. I also have a lot of jigs I've purchased to make specific woodworking tasks easier. I generally have an opinion about each of them and, as I pick up new ones or dig out an existing one, I'll share my views (both praise and complaints) for many of them.

Learn visually from my success (and failures).

Demonstration Videos

[Coming Soon] Many people prefer watching videos to reading blog posts and sometimes its easier to show rather than write about it. I created a YouTube channel, for videos showcasing techniques, projects, and tips from my workshop.

Custom woodworking products from my shop.

Products

[Coming Soon] I have a couple of ideas for custom woodworking products I want to sell in the market. This is where I'll showcase those products and offer a way to purchase them (eventually).
